What is natural gas and their uses
Natural gas is a mixture of gases which include rich in hydrocarbons. All these gases involve (methane, nitrogen, carbon dioxide etc) are naturally found in the atmosphere. Natural gas reserves are deep inside the earth near other solid or liquid hydrocarbons beds like coal and crude oil. Natural gas is considered a fossil fuel because natural gas was formed from the leftovers of tiny sea animals and plants that died 300 to 400 million years ago.
Natural gas is not used in its pure form, It is processed and converted into clean fuel for consumption. Many by-products are extraction while processing of natural gas like Carbon dioxide, nitrogen, Propane, Ethane, Butane, nitrogen etc, which can be further used.
Uses: Natural gas is mostly used as fuel for generating electrical energy and heat. Natural gas in compressed form is used as fuel for automobiles which is known as CNG. It is used as fuel for boilers and air conditioners worldwide. This is used for making fertilizers also, mainly ammonia.
